Weight Loss

I believe before we can talk about weight loss we need to talk about how we unconsciously gained the weight. 


Eating more calories than you burn on a regular basis causes weight gain.  Because of our schedules many people eat later in the evening before bed or even wake up in the middle of the night to take in calories.  If one gains weight doing this, it’s ONLY because they are taking in excess calories, NOT because they’re eating late.


There are two primary ways we gain weight:

  • Our intake of calories is too high.

  • We don’t eat enough food, which causes our body to store fat.


Weight/fat loss keys:

  • Stop drinking your calories and eat them!

  • Drink water during the majority of your day!

  • Limit alcohol consumption.

  • Make small decreases in food and increase physical activity.

  • Eat healthy meals and snacks more often during the day.

  • Consume less than 10% of calories from saturated fat.

  • Choose whole grains and fiber-rich fruits and vegetables over refined grains and simple sugars.

  • Avoid empty calories and highly processed foods, which contain many calories and do little to provide satiety.

  • Get plenty of rest.

  • Meditate on your personal goal, plan and prepare for your success.

  • Believe you can be successful!
